Malcolm Mackay (Group Chief Executive, LAW UK)

Malcolm has nearly 30 years experience at the leading edge of employment law in the UK, has been involved in many leading employment law cases, including cases argued at the House of Lords and the European Court of Justice.

Malcolm Mackay is one of the UK’s leading employment lawyers. In 1988 he set up Mackay WS, subsequently Mackay Simon WS, providing a specialist employment law service. Very quickly the firm received top rankings in the legal sector’s main reference directories Legal 500 and Chambers.

In 2001 the firm merged with one of Scotland’s largest legal firms, Maclay Murray & Spens with Malcolm heading the employment division. In 2004 he became Group Chief Executive of Law At Work.

He is co-author of a book on employment law published by Greens, co-editor of the Greens Employment Law Bulletin and writes on employment law and related issues.
