Amendment Number 4

Amendment No. 4 to the Employment (Jersey) Law 2003 (the “Law”) came into force on 1 October 2009 which extends the jurisdiction of the Jersey Employment Tribunal (the “Tribunal”). If an employee is found to have been unfairly dismissed.

Next year, Jersey should see the introduction of new food safety legislation. The law will bring Jersey in line with Europe and introduce a valuable preventative approach to food safety control; these measures have been in force in the UK since 1995.
