Martin Belcher - Chairman
Following the management buy-out of LAW in 2010, Martin took on the role of non-executive chairman.
Martin has worked in the Channel Islands since 1983 and in this time spearheaded the expansion and diversification of the Polygon group of insurance companies. Martin headed the management buy-out of the fee-based companies from Polygon in 2001, which formed the basis for a new company, Heritage Group Limited.
Martin has been instrumental in the Heritage Group's rapid expansion since 2005 into corporate trust work and fund administration in Guernsey, and insurance brokerage, captive insurance and pensions administration in Jersey. In 2008, Martin moved from being CEO to non-executive chairman of Heritage Group and its subsidiaries, including Heritage Insurance Management Limited and Heritage International Fund Managers Limited. Martin is currently chairman and since 2009 is the sole owner of Polygon Group.
Polygon formed Guernsey's first Incorporated Cell Company (ICC) Polygon Investments ICC Limited, which holds the underlying investments of the Polygon Group, including a significant share holding in the Heritage Group and a share holding in Law At Work (Channel Islands) Limited.
