Susan Wadsworth

Susan is an experienced Environmental Health Officer who has worked in the private sector, education and as an enforcement officer within Local Authorities in Central Scotland.   

International activity has been an important aspect of Susan’s career. She spent several years in Tennessee in the USA where her focus was on Health & Safety training. This was followed by the award of a Winston Churchill travelling fellowship to Australia to work on the development of HACCP systems, this research was well received at the International Federation of Environmental Health Conference in Oslo. She then had the opportunity to collaborate in the development of Food Safety training in China and management systems South Africa, India and the Middle East, before returning to an enforcement role in the UK.

This experience combined with 12 years spent lecturing and training in Colleges, a Master’s Degree in Public Health and a teaching qualification has provided Susan with a broad knowledge and wealth of experience in food safety, health and safety and training.
